A hierarch of Bulgarian Orthodox Church attends celebrations in St. Panteleimon church in Bukovina on its patron saint’s day
On August 9, 2019, the commemoration day of the Holy Protomartyr and Healer Panteleimon, His Beatitude Onufry, Metropolitan of Kiev and All Ukraine, celebrated the Divine Liturgy in the St. Panteleimon church at the children’s health center near the village of Neporotovo, Sokiryany district, Chernovtsy region. The church was built six years ago in the health center of the boarding school in the Molnitsa village. The children’s establishment is patronized by the monastic community of the Bancheny Monastery of the Holy Ascension.
Among the concelebrants was Metropolitan Gabriel of Lovech, Bulgarian Orthodox Church, reports the Union of Orthodox Journalists with reference to the press service of the UOC diocese of Chernovtsy and Bukovina.
The Primate of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church greeted the congregation on the feast and then addressed himself to the hierarch of the Bulgarian Orthodox Church with words of gratitude.
‘I would like to thank His Eminence Metropolitan Gabriel of Lovech, our brother from the Holy Bulgarian Church, for his participation in our celebrations and to convey best regard and our fraternal greetings to the Primate of the Bulgarian Orthodox Church, Patriarch Neophytes’, His Beatitude Onufry said.
