Metropolitan Gavriil of Loveč: Metropolitan Onufry is on the same journey as Prince Vladimir, edifying the great Ukrainian people and bringing grace to them

Metropolitan Gavriil of Loveč arrived in Kiev with the blessing of His Holiness Patriarch Neofit of Bulgaria to take part in the celebration of the Name Day, the 75^th birthday and the 5^th anniversary of the enthronement of the Primate of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church.

“When zealots of the old times were asked about their deeds before the Second Coming, they answered that there would be no deeds, but those the last on earth will be holy because they will undergo lot of sorrows and difficulties. His Beatitude Metropolitan Onufry performs his ministry as the head of the Ukrainian Church today with honour and dignity,” Metropolitan Gavriil said at Dormition Laura of the Caves on June 24, 2019.

“In Bulgaria we are praying for His Beatitude Onufry who is on the same journey as Prince Vladimir, edifying the great Ukrainian people and bringing grace to them. He is leading the Church which possesses grace,’ he added. These words were cited by the Information and Education Department of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church.
