Delegation of the Orthodox Church of Cyprus visits Theological Academy in St. Petersburg

On 7 June 2019, a delegation of the Orthodox Church of Cyprus   with Metropolitan Isaias of Tamasos and Oreini paid a friendly visit to the St. Petersburg Theological Academy.

The delegation was met by Ms Kolesnikova, dean of the faculty of foreign students, and Academy’s second-year bachelor and a graduate from Cyprus.

At the Church of the Holy Apostle and Evangelist John the Theologian, a third-year bachelor told the guests about history of the church and its main object of worship – the Tsarskoe Selo Sign icon of the Mother of God.

Representatives of the Church of Cyprus had a talk with Bishop Serafim of Petergof, rector of the Academy, and exchanged memorable gifts at end of the meeting.
