On 2nd June 2019, in the city of Chełm, Republic of Poland, celebrations were held to commemorate the Synaxis of the Holy Martyrs of Chełm and Podlasie and the 30th anniversary of episcopal consecration of Archbishop Abel of Lublin and Chełm.

With the blessing of His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia, Metropolitan Isidor of Smolensk and Dorogobuzh attended the celebrations.

With Archbishop Abel of Lublin and Chełm and other hierarchs of the Polish Orthodox Church and of other Orthodox Churches, Metropolitan Isidor concelebrated the Divine Liturgy at the Cathedral of St. John the Theologian.

The service was followed by the procession of the cross with the relics of the Holy Martyrs of Chełm and Podlasie.

Then Metropolitan Isidor read out a message of greetings from His Holiness Patriarch Kirill and presented Archbishop Abel with the Order of St. Seraphim of Sarov, 2nd class.
