Primate of the Russian Orthodox Church greets His Holiness Patriarch Irinej of Serbia with the anniversary of his enthronement
His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia sent a message of greetings to the Primate of the Serbian Orthodox Church on the 9th anniversary of his enthronement at the See of Archbishops of Peć, Metropolitans of Belgrade and Karlovci, Patriarchs of Serbia.
His Holiness IRINEJ
Archbishop of Peć
Metropolitan of Belgrade and Karlovci
Patriarch of Serbia
Your Holiness,
Beloved Brother and Concelebrant at God’s Altar:
Please accept my cordial greetings with the 9th anniversary of your Patriarchal enthronement.
By performing your labours you add new pages to the centuries-old history of relationships between our Churches. The fraternal peoples guided by our Churches for centuries have preserved unto this day the Orthodox faith, “bearing fruit in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God” (Col. 1:10).
May the Merciful Lord, by the intercession of Ss. Sava, Arsenius and the Synaxis of the godly-wise predecessors of Your Beatitude at the Patriarchal Throne of Peć, save the flock entrusted to your care, especially those living in the sacred land of Kosovo and Metohija, from sorrows and tribulations.
Wishing you good health and unceasing help from above in your further Primatial ministry, I remain with unfailing brotherly love in Christ,
+KIRILL
Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia
