DECR chairman meets with French ambassador to Russia

On November 7, 2018, Metropolitan Hilarion of Volokolamsk, head of the Moscow Patriarchate department for external church relations, met with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of France to Russia, Ms. Sylvie Bermann.

Present at the meeting from the French embassy were also Mr. Nikolas Broutin, first secretary; Mr. Alexander Mirless, first secretary; and from the DECR – Deacon Andrey Titushkin, DECR secretariat for the far abroad.

Metropolitan Hilarion warmly welcomed the high guest and the party accompanying her to the synodal department, which is a church analogue of the ministry of foreign affairs.

The sides discussed a wide range of issues of mutual concern related to the bilateral relations.

In conclusion, His Eminence presented the guests with commemorative gifts.
