Metropolitan Hilarion meets with Italian consul general in Moscow

October 4, 2018 – Metropolitan Hilarion of Volokolamsk, head of the Moscow Patriarchate department for external church relations (DECR), met with Italian Consul General in Moscow Mr. Francesco Forte, at the DECR.

They were joined in their talk by Hegumen Feofan (Lukyanov), head of the DECR protocol service, and Deacon Andrey Titushkin of the DECR secretariat for the far abroad.

The archpastor warmly welcomed the high-ranking Italian diplomat to the oldest synodal institution responsible for the external relations of the Russian Church.

His Eminence Hilarion and Mr. Forte discussed matters of mutual concern.

In conclusion of the meeting, Metropolitan Hilarion presented the high guest with commemorative gifts.
