On July 1, 2018, Archbishop Sergiy of Solnechnogorsk, administrator of the Moscow Patriarchate parishes in East and South-East Asia, celebrated the Divine Liturgy in the church of the Dormition in Singapore. Among his concelebrants were Hegumen Pavel (Khokhlov), senior priest of the Parish of St. Michael in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia; Hieromonk Pitirim (Dondenko), senior priest of the Parish of the Dormition in Singapore, and Rev. Evgeniy Shmelev of the same parish; and Rev. Serafim Choi of the church of St. Michael in Kuala Lumpur. The deacon’s order included Hierodeacon Juvenaly (Lapshin) of the Moscow church of the Live-giving Trinity at Ostankino, and Deacon Dimitry Semash of the Parish of the Dormition in Singapore.

Among the worshippers were members of the international community of the Moscow Patriarchate in Singapore and those who accompanied Archbishop Sergiy during his trip to Asia, including D. Petrovsky of the Moscow Patriarchate department for external church relations and N. Sokolov and K. Maruschak of the Moscow Patriarchate administrative secretariat.

After the service, Archbishop Sergiy presented Patriarchal awards to those who worked hard to broaden the Russian Orthodox presence in Asia. The jubilee medal marking the Centenary of the Restoration of Patriarchate in the Russian Church was awarded to Hegumen Pavel (Khokhlov), Hieromonk Pitirim (Dondenko), Rev. Evgeniy Shmelev and Serafim Choi, Deacon Dimitry Semash, as well as Sister Esther (Yermasheva) and Ms. N. Edgzveradze, members of the Parish of the Dormition in Singapore.
