Chinese edition of His Holiness Patriarch Kirill’s book Word of a Pastor presented in Hong Kong

On 26 June 2018, a presentation of the Chinese edition of the book Word of a Pastor by His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia took place in Hong Kong. With the blessing of His Holiness Patriarch Kirill, Metropolitan Tikhon of Pskov and Porkhov, chairman of the Patriarchal Council for Culture, presented the book to the public.

Taking part in the presentation organized by the Patriarchal Council for Culture with the assistance of the Russian Club in Hong Kong were Mr. Alexander Kozlov, Consul General of the Russian Federation in Hong Kong; Mr. Lu Dezhi, chairman of the Huamin Charity Foundation; as well as members of the Orthodox community of Hong Kong, representatives of the Christian confessions, diplomats and journalists. Mr. Lu Sezhi noted that this event would help promote the Russian-Chinese cultural exchange and friendship.

The book Word of a Pastor: God and Man. The History of Salvation was first released in 2004. It was later republished many times and translated into 14 languages. The Chinese translation was done by Prof. Sun Yue, one of the leading experts in the Russian studies in China.
