I cordially greet you on the occasion of your 55^th birthday.

Your life journey has been wholly devoted to the service of the Bulgarian people. Due to your high professional and personal qualities, you have enjoyed the respect and confidence of the citizens of the country.

Throughout centuries the Russian and Bulgarian peoples have been closely tied by a common faith, traditions and memory. The fraternal communion of the Russian and Bulgarian Orthodox Churches, who have invariably manifested unity and steadfastness in preserving the purity of Orthodoxy, has been a testimony of our age-old friendship.

I hope for further strengthening of Russian-Bulgarian relations, an important component of which is our common cultural, spiritual and historical heritage.
