June the 1st, 2018, will mark 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Russia and Singapore. On the occasion of the anniversary, a display of archive documents on the Russia-Singapore relations was opened on May 22 in the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The attendees were greeted by Mr. I. Morgulov, deputy minister of foreign affairs, and Mr. Koh Poh Koon, senior state minister of trade and industry, Republic of Singapore. They pointed to the experience of Russia-Singapore cooperation accumulated in various areas in both bilateral format and international arena.

‘The foundation of a Russian Culture Center with an Orthodox church in Singapore is called to become an important step in broadening the humanitarian and cultural cooperation’, Mr. Morgulov said.

The opening of the display was attended by Archbishop Sergiy of Solnechnogorsk, head of the Patriarchal administrative secretariat, and Mr. D. Petrovsky, a staff member of the Moscow Patriarchate department for external church relations.
