His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia sent a message of greetings to the President of the Czech Republic Miloš Zeman on his reelection.

Please accept my cordial greetings with your reelection as President of the Czech Republic. Your victory in the elections is a sign of recognition of your merits by the Czech people who have once again entrusted you with the leadership of the country, pinning on you their hopes for its sustainable development.

I believe that your considerable experience in governmental activities and high professionalism will help settle various social and economic issues and strengthen the centuries-old relations between the Russian and the Czech peoples who have common Christian heritage and Slavic roots.
