Primate of the Russian Orthodox Church greets His Beatitude Patriarch Daniel of Romania with his Name Day

His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia sent greetings to His Beatitude Daniel, Archbishop of Bucharest, Metropolitan of Muntenia and Dobrudgea, on the commemoration day of his heavenly patron.

Your Beatitude,

Beloved Brother in the Lord and Concelebrant,

I cordially greet you with the commemoration day of your heavenly patron – Holy Prophet Daniel.

On this feast day I prayerfully wish to Your Beatitude blessed spiritual and bodily strength, the Lord’s help and every success in your lofty and responsible ministry as Primate of the Romanian Orthodox Church.

I have warm memories of our recent meetings in Bucharest and Moscow and of our concelebration of the Holy Eucharist, which gave us the opportunity with one mind and one mouth to offer many thanksgivings unto God (2 Cor 9:12).
