Primate of the Polish Orthodox Church arrives in the Russian capital

On 1 December 2017, His Beatitude Metropolitan Sawa of Warsaw and All Poland arrived in Moscow to take part in the celebrations marking the centenary of the restoration of Patriarchate in the Russian Church.

The Primate of the Polish Orthodox Church was met at the airport by Metropolitan Isidor of Smolensk and Dorogobuzh, Bishop Serafim of Lyubertsy, Archpriest Igor Yakimchuk, DECR secretary for inter-Orthodox relations, and Mr. Yevgeny Bakhtin, DECR staff member.

The delegation that accompanies His Beatitude Metropolitan Sawa includes Archbishop Grerory of Bielsk, Archpriest Doroteusz Sawicki, and Mr. Mikołaj Podolec.
