His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia sent a message to the Primate of the Orthodox Church of the Czech Lands and Slovakia on the 5th anniversary of his episcopal consecration.

His Beatitude Rastislav

Archbishop of Prešov

Metropolitan of the Czech Lands and Slovakia

Your Beatitude, Beloved Brother and Concelebrant at God’s Altar,

Please accept my cordial greetings with a memorable date – the 5th anniversary of your episcopal consecration.

Having ordained you for a lofty ministry in His Vineyard, our Lord Jesus Christ vouchsafed you to rightly teach the word of His truth at the See of Archbishops of the glorious city of Prešov. Shortly thereafter you were elevated to the Primatial Throne of Metropolitans of the Czech Lands and Slovakia, and now you bear on your shoulders the responsibility for the future of the Autocephalous Church in the lands where Ss. Cyril and Methodius, Equal-to-the-Apostles, Enlighteners of the Slavs, had preached.

On this day of celebration, I prayerfully wish to Your Beatitude good health, peace and God’s bountiful help in your Primatial labours.

With fraternal love in Christ,

+KIRILL

PATRIARCH OF MOSCOW AND ALL RUSSIA
