DECR vice-chairman meets with newly-appointed Russia’s Ambassador to Turkey

On 23 June 2017, Archpriest Nikolai Balashov, vice-chairman of the Moscow Patriarchate’s Department for External Church Relations, met with Mr. Alexei Yerkhov, newly-appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to the Republic of Turkey.

Among the issues discussed during the meeting was the spiritual care of the Russian compatriots living in Turkey.

Taking part in the meeting was also Archpriest Igor Yakimchuk, DECR secretary for inter-Orthodox relations.
