Russian Orthodox bishop takes part in the blessing of a church in the village of Bajčetina in Serbia

On 27 May 2017, with the blessing of His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia, Metropolitan Ioann of Belgorod and Stary Oskol arrived in Serbia to participate in the celebrations led by His Holiness Patriarch Irenej of Serbia.

The Primate of the Serbian Orthodox Church and the assembly of clergymen celebrated the Office of Blessing and the Divine liturgy in the church of St. Demetrius of Thessaloniki in the village of Bajčetina in Serbia. The church has been built thanks to President Tomislav Nikolić of Serbia.

The head of the Belgorod metropolia brought greetings from His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia and presented the church with the Eucharistic set.
