Patriarch Kirill’s condolences over the death of Archbishop Jeremiah of Wroclaw and Szczecin
His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia has sent a message of condolences to His Beatitude Sava, Metropolitan of Warsaw and All Poland, over the demise of Archbishop Jeremiah of Wroclaw and Szczecin, a hierarch of the Polish Orthodox Church.
To His Beatitude Sava
Metropolitan of Warsaw and All Poland
Your Beatitude,
Beloved in the Lord Brother and Concelebrant at God’s Altar:
Christ is Risen!
Please, accept my profound condolences over the demise of Archbishop Jeremiah of Wroclaw and Szczecin.
His Eminence Jeremiah has left the grateful memory of his humble and tireless works in many spheres of the internal life and external relations of the Most Holy Polish Orthodox Church. I happened to have known the deceased for many years and the news about his demise has echoed with sadness in my heart.
The Lord Jesus Christ, the Conqueror of Death, wished to call to Himself the deceased archpastor on the day of the Holy Pascha. This is a sign of God’s special mercy that strengthens us in the trust that the Lord will give rest to the soul of His zealous servant in the dwellings of the righteous, in a place of peace where there is no illness, nor sorrow, nor signing, but life everlasting.
Eternal and blessed memory to him!
With brotherly love in Risen Christ,
+ Kirill
Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia
