The book Patriarch Kirill. In His Own Words presented at Ss Cyril and Methodius Institute of Post-Graduate Studies
On January 13, 2017, the new book Patriarch Kirill. In His Own Words was presented at the Ss Cyril and Methodius Institute of Post-Graduate Studies (CMI) by Metropolitan Hilarion of Volokolamsk, head of the Moscow Patriarchate department for external church relations and CMI rector. The edition was prepared as a joint project of the CMI and St. Vladimir’s Seminary in New York.
The presentation was attended by Metropolitan Juvenaly of Krutitsy and Kolomna; Metropolitan Niphon of Philippople, representative of the Patriarch of Antioch and All the East to the Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia, Bishop Feofilakt of Dmitrov, administrator of the South-West vicariate of the Moscow city diocese and abbot of the St. Andrew Monastery; Bishop Antoniy of Bogorodsk, head of the Moscow Patriarchate office for institutions abroad; Archimandrite Savva (Tutunov), Moscow Patriarchate deputy chancellor; Archpriest Chad Hatfield, president of the St. Vladimir’s Seminary, New York, USA; Hegumen Petr (Yeremeyev), rector of the Russian Orthodox University (ROU); Hegumen Mitrofan (Shkurin), deputy head of the ROC synodal department for religious education and catechism; and other clergy.
Among the attendees were also Archbishop Celestino Migliore, Apostolic Nuncio in Russia; V. Sadovnichiy, rector of Lomonosov Moscow State University; A. Sokolov, rector of Tchaikovsky Moscow State Conservatoire; A. Lubkov, rector of Moscow Pedagogical State University; Ye. Pivovar, president of the Russian State University of the Humanities; Ms. S. Tregulova, director of Tretyakov State Gallery; Ms. Ye. Knyazeva, deputy chief training and research of the Military University under the Ministry of Defense , and O. Novikov, director of EKSMO Publishers.
Present were also foreign diplomats including Bulgaria’s Ambassador Boiko Kocev, Macedonia’s Ambassador Goce Karajanov, and Austria’s Ambassador Emil Brix.
