On September 27, 2016, the Day of the Elevation of the Honorable and Life-giving Cross of the Lord, His Beatitude Tikhon, Archbishop of Washington, Metropolitan of All America and Canada, celebrated the Divine Liturgy at the Saint Nicholas Patriarchal Cathedral in New York. Among his concelebrants, along with the cathedral clergy, were Bishop John of Naro-Fominsk, administrator of the Patriarchal Parishes in the USA, and Archpriest Erick Tosi, Secretary of the Orthodox Church in America.

Among the worshippers was Archpriest John Jillions, Chancellor of the Orthodox Church in America.

The service concluded with the statutory veneration of the Holy Cross.

After the liturgy, Bishop John greeted the Primate of the Orthodox Church in America. He thanked His Beatitude for the joy of common prayer and presented him with a holy panagia.

As a token of this visit to the Patriarchal cathedral, His Beatitude Tikhon presented Bishop John with an icon of St. Herman of Alaska and Protomartyr Catherine, the heavenly patroness of the Moscow Orthodox Representation of the Orthodox Church in America.

The fellowship of the bishops and clergy continued during a fraternal repast, during which they discussed various matters concerning the cooperation between the Orthodox Church in America and the Patriarchal Parishes in the USA, the site of the ROC Representation in the USA reports.
