Metropolitan Hilarion of Volokolamsk, chairman of the Moscow Patriarchate’s Department for External Church Relations, sent greetings to His Beatitude Archbishop Anastasios of Tirana and All Albania with the anniversary of his enthronement. The text of the message is given below.

Your Beatitude,

Please accept my cordial greetings with the anniversary of your Primatial enthronement.

Performing your apostolic ministry in the land of Albania marked by the deeds of numerous martyrs and confessors, you teach your faithful children to glorify and thank God Who according to His abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead (1 Pet 1:3). Setting an example by your own life, you inspire bishops, clerics and laypeople to work for the benefit of the Church and the people of Albania. By God’s mercy, the years of your Primatial ministry have been marked by the revival of the Albanian Church and development in all spheres of church life.

Praying to the Lord that He continue to bless your Primatial labours, grant to Your Beatitude physical and spiritual strength and bestow upon you His great and abundant mercies, I remain,
