His Holiness Patriarch Kirill expresses condolences over train crash in the south of Italy

His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia offered condolences to Mr. Matteo RENZI, President of the Council of Ministers of the Italian Republic, over the train crash in the south of Italy. The text of the message is given below.

Your Excellency, Dear Mr. Prime Minister,

The report about the crash of passenger trains near Bari in southern Italy, in which over twenty people died and over fifty people were injured, has echoed with pain in my heart. Please accept my profound condolences.

In these sorrowful days, lifting up prayers to the All-Merciful Lord for a speedy recovery of the injured, I would like to express the words of support and wishes of spiritual courage to the relatives and friends of the victims of the tragedy and to all the Italian people.
