The Russian Orthodox Church Holy Synod will meet for an extraordinary session on Monday

On Monday, June 13, 2016, the Holy Synod of the Russian Orthodox Church will meet for an extraordinary session.

The chairman of the Department for the Church’s Relations with the Mass Media, V. Legoida, explained that the Holy Synod meeting would take place to discuss the extraordinary situation, which has developed after the refusal of several Local Orthodox Churches to participate in the work of the Pan-Orthodox Council planned to take place from June 18 to 27 in Crete.
