DECR chairman sends congratulatory message to Primate of the Romanian Orthodox Church on the occasion of his Name Day
In his message to His Beatitude Daniel, Patriarch of Romania, the Chairman of the Moscow Patriarchate’s department for external church relations, Metropolitan Hilarion of Volokolamsk, greeted him on the occasion of the commemoration day of his heavenly patron saint – God’s Holy Prophet Daniel:
Your Beatitude,
I would like to greet you wholeheartedly on the occasion of your Name Day.
As Primate of the sister Romanian Orthodox Church, you have made a weighty contribution to the spiritual development of the people, to their education for traditional Christian values. Like the Prophet Daniel, you always pray for your people (cf. Dan. 9:4-20). And to your paternal love your flock respond with reciprocal love and profound respect.
From my heart I wish you God’s abundant help in the primatial service of the Romanian Orthodox Church, spiritual and physical strength and many good years from Christ our Saviour.
With respectful love in the Lord,
Metropolitan Hilarion of Volokolamsk
Chairman of the Department for External Church Relations
Moscow Patriarchate
