On 6 December 2015, the closing ceremony of the 6th “Golden Knight” Slavic Arts Forum took place at the Hall of Church Councils of the Cathedral of Christ the Saviour in Moscow.

This year marks the 25th anniversary both of the forum and the Ministry of the Russian Federation for Civil Defence, Emergencies and Elimination of Consequences of Natural Disasters (EMERCOM). Among those who attended the ceremony were Mr. Vladimir Puchkov, EMERCOM Minister; H.E. Slavenko Terzich, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Serbia to the Russian Federation; H.E. Boiko Kocev, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Bulgaria to the Russian Federation; and the EMERCOM staff members.

Mr. Nikolai Burlyaev, People’s Artist of Russia, President of the “Golden Knight” Arts Forum, Director of the EMERCOM’s Institute of Culture, Chairman of the Association of Slavic Artists, greeted all those present in the Hall of Church Councils of the Cathedral of Christ the Saviour. Among those who spoke during the ceremony was also Mr. Vladimir Puchkov. In their addresses, Mr. Burlyaev and Mr. Puchkov summarized the results of the first year of cooperation between the EMERCOM and the “Golden Knight” Forum.

Metropolitan Hilarion of Volokolamsk greeted all those present on behalf of His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia. The archpastor thanked the organizers of the forum and expressed his hope for the development of this project in accordance with its motto, “For Moral and Christian Ideals, and for the Exaltation of Human Soul.”
