On November 27, 2015, Bishop Nestor of Chersonese and Bishop Anthony of Bogorodsk, director of the Moscow Patriarchate office for institutions abroad, visited the residence of the Greek metropolitan in France to hold a working meeting with Metropolitan Emmanuel of France, Patriarchate of Constantinople.

Metropolitan Emmanuel warmly congratulated Bishop Anthony on his episcopal consecration and appointment to a new important office. They also discussed current problems concerning the status of Orthodoxy in France today.

On the following day, Bishop Anthony visited the Russian Orthodox seminary in Epinay-sous-Senart. He celebrated the Divine Liturgy at the seminary’s Chapel of the Nativity of the Mother of God. His Grace was assisted by the rector of the seminary, Hieromonk Alexander (Sinyakov), and lecturers, the Rev. Ioann Dimitrov and Deacon George Sheshko.

The liturgy was celebrated mostly in French. The seminary’s male choir sang several hymns with a musical arrangement authored by the seminary choir’s conductor S. Volkov.

In his archpastoral homily, Bishop Anthony, speaking on behalf of His Holiness Patriarch Kirill, assured the rector, faculty and students that the Primate of the Russian Orthodox Church and responsible church institutions give special attention to this unique theological school of the Moscow Patriarchate that functions outside its canonical territory.

Later that day, Bishop Anthony met with the rector of the seminary. They discussed problems involved in the life of the theological school and prospects for its development, the website of the Diocese of Chersonese reports.
