His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia sent the following congratulatory message to His Beatitude Chrysostomos II, Archbishop of New Justiniana and All Cyprus, on the occasion of an anniversary of his enthronement and his Nameday:

Your Beatitude, beloved brother in the Lord and concelebrant at God’s Altar:

I wholeheartedly congratulate you on an anniversary of your ascension to the See of Archbishops of Cyprus and on your Nameday.

A great and unspeakable reward will be reserved for him upon whose labours Christ places such a high value, said your heavenly patron, St. John Chrysostom, meaning the successors of apostolic grace and archpastors of Christ’s sheep. God has vouchsafed to Your Beatitude to be Primate of the Church of Cyprus, spiritual leader of all Orthodox Christians living on the island.

On this festive day I pray to God to bestow upon Your Beatitude the inexhaustible help in your future ministry and spiritual and physical strength for many years.

With brotherly love in the Lord,

+ KIRILL

Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia
