DECR chairman extends condolences over death of two Russian diplomats killed in earthquake in Nepal
Metropolitan Hilarion of Volokolamsk, chairman of the Moscow Patriarchate’s Department for External Church Relations, extended the following condolences to Sergei Lavrov, Russian Minister of Foreign Affairs, over the death of the two staff members of the Russian Embassy in Pakistan:
Dear Sergei Viktorovich:
I was saddened to learn of the death of the two Russian diplomats, staff members of the Russian Embassy in Pakistan, Alexei Lipeyev and his wife Maria Yakovleva, in destructive earthquake in Nepal. I extend my sincere condolences to you, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and staff of the Russian Embassy in Pakistan.
I pray to the All-Merciful Lord to grant spiritual strength to the near and dear of the victims to get over this terrible tragic loss.
