April 22, 2015 – The State Duma inter-department working groups held its closing meeting for organizing the transfer of the remains of Grand Duke Nikolay Nikolayevich and his wife from France to Moscow and for their reburial. The meeting was chaired by State Duma Chairman S. Naryshkin.

It is planned to bury the royal remains at the Chapel of the Holy Transfiguration in the Common Military Cemetery on April 30, at Sokol, Moscow. The meeting considered various organizational matters concerning the commemorative events.

With the blessing the Metropolitan Hilarion of Volokolamsk, chairman of the Moscow Patriarchate department for external church relations, the meeting was attended by Archpriest Nikolay Balashov, DECR vice-chairman. Among the participants in the meeting were also Father Paramon (Golubka), abbot of the Monastery of Our Lady of Don, and Father Roman (Kiselev) of the DECR secretariat for far-abroad countries.
