Metropolitan Hilarion meets with a delegation of the Greek Orthodox Church
On March 21, 2015, Metropolitan Hilarion of Volokolamsk, head of the Moscow Patriarchate’s department for external church relations (DECR), met with the secretary of the Greek Orthodox Church synodal department for pilgrimages and development of religious tourism, Archimandrite Spiridon (Katramados), and the delegation who accompanied him. The meeting took place after the All-Night Vigil celebrated in the church of Our Lady the Joy to All the Afflicted-in-Bolshaya-Ordynka in Moscow.
The delegation of the Greek Orthodox Church includes Prof. Hristos Petreas, special adviser to the Synodal Department for Pilgrimages, Mr. Vasilios Tzerpos, staff member of the department, and Mr. Mario Mango, external worker of the department. Among the participants was also Deacon Anatoly Churyakov, staff member of the DECR.
The sides discussed their further cooperation and interaction with the Greek Orthodox Church’s department headed by Archimandrite Spiridon, as lying within the terms of reference of the Moscow Patriarchate department for external church relations.
On March 22, Archimandrite Spiridon concelebrated with Metropolitan Hilarion the Sunday Liturgy at the church of Our Lady the Joy to All the Afflicted.
