Book on social ministry of the Church is presented in Padua

Carità e globalizzazione, a volume containing presentations of the Russian and Italian bishops, theologians and priests at the meetings organized by the Community of St. Egidio in Moscow in 2012 and in Rome in 2014 was presented at the Basilica of St. Anthony in Padua. The presentation was timed to the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity and for peace in the world.

The Russian Orthodox Church is presented in the book by the reports of Metropolitan Juvenaly of Krutitsy and Kolomna; Metropolitan Hilarion of Volokolamsk, chairman of the Moscow Patriarchate’s Department; Bishop Iona of Obukhov; archpriest Pavel Velikanov; and other priests and laymen.

Archpriest Alexy Yastrebov, rector of the Church of the Myrrh-Bearing Women in Venice, took part in the presentation on behalf of the Russian Orthodox Church.
