Patriarch Kirill meets with A. Forrest of Walk Free Foundation and V. Yakunin of the St. Andrew the-First-Called Foundation

On October 28, 2014, His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia met with Mr. Andrew Forrest, head of the Walk Free Foundation, an Australian non-governmental organization, and Mr. V. Yakunin, chairman of the board of guardians of the St. Andrew the-First-Called Foundation.

The Walk Free Foundation is engaged in opposing slavery in today’s world through drawing the public attention to this problem in various countries. It is called to help mobilize the efforts of prominent representatives of culture, education, business community and religious leaders for opposing this evil.

The talk dealt with various forms of cooperation between the Russian Orthodox Church and the Walk Free Foundation. Patriarch Kirill pointed to the importance of cooperation between this organization and the Moscow Patriarchate Department for External Church Relations.
