Metropolitan Hilarion meets with Metropolitan Anthony of Mexico

On May 26, 2014, Metropolitan Anthony of Mexico (Patriarchate of Antioch), while on an unofficial visit to the Russian Church, visited the Church of Our Lady the Joy to All the Afflicted-in-Bolshaya-Ordynka and met there with the chairman of the Moscow Patriarchate Department for External Church Relations, Metropolitan Hilarion of Volokolamsk.

Metropolitan Anthony was accompanied by Archbishop Niphon of Filippopolis, representative of the Patriarch of Antioch to the Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia, Bishop Demetrius of Safita, Patriarchate of Antioch, and other church and state officials and representatives of the business community in Mexico.

They discussed pan-Orthodox relations and interchurch cooperation. In conclusion they exchanged tokens of the meeting.
