Metropolitan Hilarion celebrates at the Church of the Resurrection in Uspensky Vrazhek

On 18^th February 2014, the feast day of the “Searching of the Lost” icon of the Mother of God, Metropolitan Hilarion of Volokolamsk, chairman of he Moscow Patriarchate’s Department for External Church Relations (DECR), celebrated Divine Liturgy at the Moscow Church of the Resurrection in Uspensky Vrazhek.

At the end of the service, troparion and kontakion were sung before the miraculous icon, and the archpastor read a prayer to the Mother of God.

Archpriest Nikolai Balashov, rector of the church and DECR vice-chairman greeted Metropolitan Hilarion on behalf of all the worshippers and asked him to pray for them and the parish and also for the upholding of the glorious traditions of this church.

In his archpastoral homily Metropolitan Hilarion greeted all the worshippers and conveyed to them the blessing of His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia, who is the Bishop of Moscow.
