Metropolitan Hilarion of Volokolamsk meets with Rector of Russian Christian Academy for Humanities

On 24 October 2013, Metropolitan Hilarion of Volokolamsk, DECR chairman and rector of the Ss Cyril and Methodius Theological Institute for Postgraduate and Doctoral Studies, met with Prof. Dr. Dmitry Burlaka, rector of the Russian Christian Academy for the Humanities. They were joined in the meeting that took place at the DECR premises by archpriest Vladimir Shmaliy, vice-rector of the Ss Cyril and Methodius Theological Institute.

Metropolitan Hilarion highly appreciated scholarly, educational and publishing activities of the Academy and noted its importance as an authoritative place for academic, interconfessional and civic dialogue. He also noted with satisfaction the successful development of cooperation between his Institute and the Academy carried on the basis of an agreement signed in June 2010.

The rector signed an additional agreement on cooperation that regulates new forms of common educational and scholarly programms.
