Metropolitan Hilarion meets with Academician Chelyshev

On May 20, 2013, the DECR chairman Metropolitan Hilarion of Volokolamsk met with Academician Ye. Chelyshev, member of the Presidium of the Russian Academy of Sciences. Participating in the meeting were also N. Lisovoy, deputy chairman of the Imperial Orthodox Palestinian Society, and Hierodeacon Roman (Kiselev) of the DECR secretariat for the far-abroad countries.

They discussed the progress made in preparing for publication a collective work ‘Russia’s Civilization Path: the Legacy of the Past and the Present Time’. This work is to be finalized this year by the Russian Academy of Sciences’ academic council for the study and protection of the cultural and natural heritage.
