Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev congratulates His Holiness Patriarch Kirill on the anniversary of his enthronement

Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev sent a message of congratulations to His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia on the anniversary of his enthronement. The message reads in particular:

“Thanks to your primatial labours, cooperation of the State with the Russian Orthodox Church in solution of so important tasks as moral education of the younger generation, consolidation of national accord and progress of inter-religious dialogue is developing successfully.

“Under your guidance, the Church fulfils an important social mission, takes care for people who find themselves in a hardtime situation and implements large-scale educational and charity projects.

“Your efforts aimed at maintaining and developing historical, cultural and spiritual traditions of our country have enjoyed unfailing support.”
