December 20, 2012 – The Polish Ambassador to Russia, Mr. Wojciech Zajaczkowski read a lecture at the Sts Cyril and Methodius Post-Graduate and Doctoral School, with the blessing of its rector, Metropolitan Hilarion of Volokolamsk.

 

The high guest made an excursus into the history of relations between Russia and Poland and spoke about the principles which he believes should guide a view of the past and present of inter-state relations.

 

Mr. Zajaczkowski made a special mention of the historical visit His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia made to Poland last August and the signing of a Joint Message to the Russian and Polish Peoples, which made a significant contribution to overcoming the problems existing in relations between the two nations.

 

Mr. Zajaczkowski answered numerous questions from students concerning primary areas of cooperation between Russia and Poland, the experience of teaching religion in Polish comprehensive schools and his diplomatic career in Moscow, the Church Post-Graduate School’s website reports.
