On July 28, 2012, the commemoration day of St. Vladimir Equal-to-the-Apostles, a theme exposition was inaugurated at the Russian Science and Culture Center in Kuala Lumpur. Devoted to the Day of the Baptism of Russia, it presents images of famous Russian churches and icons and photographs showing the work of Russian Orthodox bishops and His Holiness Patriarch Kirill.

The festivities were organized by the representation of the Federal Agency for Expatriates and International Humanitarian Aid, the Expatriates’ Club and the Parish of the Holy Dormition in Singapore.

On July 30, the Parish of the Dormition clergy celebrated the Divine Liturgy. It was attended by expatriates and friends of the Russian Center from among Orthodox Malaysians and people from other countries.

Orthodox expatriates thanked the Center for having organized the celebrations which were crowned by non-formal fellowship at a festive repast. It was noted that the religious educational events devoted to the Day of the Baptism of Russia contributed to the strengthening of ethnic cultural ties of the Orthodox community with the Motherland.
