On June 10, during his visit to Barcelona, Bishop Nestor, administrator of the diocese of Chersonese, had a working meeting with Cardinal Luis Martinez, Archbishop of Barcelona. They discussed the Orthodox presence in Catalonia and a number of other matters concerning fraternal cooperation between the Catholic archdiocese of Barcelona and parishes of the Chersonese diocese in Spain.

 

Present at the meeting were also Father Seraphim Pavlov, rector of the Parish of the Annunciation in Barcelona, and Jaume Castro, president of the Community of St. Egidio in Barcelona.

 

In conclusion of the meeting Bishop Nestor presented Cardinal Martinez with a copy of the Icon of Our Lady of Kazan, the website of the Diocese of Chersonese has reported.
