His Excellency Mr. Elio Di Rupo
Prime Minister of Belgium
Your Excellency:
It was with a feeling of profound grief that I have learnt of the bus crash near Sierre in Switzerland that killed and injured many people.
The tragedy that befell the passengers is dramatized by the fact that the death victims included mostly children who were returning from a ski tour in the Italian Alpes. The relatives and close ones of the victims and the injured are suffering most of all. May the Lord help them to endure the ordeal.
On these mournful days I express my sincere condolences to You, the leaders and citizens of your country.
Please accept my deep sympathy,
+Hilarion
Metropolitan of Volokolamsk
