Condolences of His Holiness Patriarch Kirill to King Albert II of the Belgians
His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia expressed condolences to King Albert II of the Belgians upon the death of Belgian citizens in bus crash in Switzerland on March 14.
His Majesty King Albert II of the Belgians
Your Majesty:
The news of the horrific bus crash in Sierre in Switzerland killing twenty-two Belgian schoolchildren and six adults have brought pain to my heart.
These days the Russian Orthodox Church offers up prayers for the repose of the victims and for the quick recovery of the injured and expresses sympathy and support to Your Majesty and all the Belgians, and to the parents and close ones of the victims of the tragic accident in particular.
May the Lord grant wisdom and His almighty help to all those who are suffering today physically and in their hearts to overcome the consequences of the bus crash.
I believe and hope that the authorities of the country, rescuers, and medical doctors will do their best to relieve suffering of the people who have come to grief.
With deep condolences,
+ KIRILL
Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia
