On 14 February 2012, archimandrite Kirill (Govorun), first vice-chairman of the Education Committee of the Russian Orthodox Church and vice-rector of the Ss Cyril and Methodius Postgraduate and Doctoral School, met with Prof. Lung Kwong Lo, director of the Divinity Scholl of Chung Chi College, the Chinese University of Hong Kong; Prof. Francis Ching-Wah Yip, director of the Centre for Christian Studies; Mr. Daniel Yang, director of the Institute of Chino-Christian Studies; Prof. Milton Van of the University of Toronto; and Prof. Su Sing of the Nanjing University.

They discussed possibilities of cooperation between the Chinese University of Hong Kong and the Russian Church’s Postgraduate and Doctoral School and of more intensive interaction between the theological schools of China and of the Russian Orthodox Church.

The Divinity School of Chung Chi College is a major theological centre in China. It promotes and carries out research in Christian theology and inter-faith dialogue.
