President Dmitry Medvedev congratulates Primate of the Russian Orthodox Church on the anniversary of his enthronement
On February 1, 2012, President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev and his wife Ms. Medvedeva came to the Patriarchal residence in St. Daniel’s Monastery to congratulate His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia on the third anniversary of his enthronement.
The President greeted the Primate of the Russian Orthodox Church and presented him with the painting “Cathedral of the Transfiguration of the Saviour and the belfry in the Mirozhsky Monastery” by Yu.N. Dutov (1917-1976).
The Patriarch and the Russian President visited the Church All Saints Who Shone Forth in the Russian Land. After that Patriarch Kirill invited the President and his wife to take a look at the halls of the recently restored Patriarchal and Synodal residence.
His Holiness Patriarch Kirill and President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev continued their conversation in the Fireplace hall, the Patriarchal Press Service reports.
