On 29 January 2012, prior to the celebration of the third anniversary of the enthronement of His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia, His Holiness Patriarch Irenej of Serbia visited the metochion of the Russian Orthodox Church in Belgrade. Concelebrating the Divine Liturgy and Thanksgiving with the Primate of the Serbian Orthodox Church were archpriest Vitaly Tarasjev, rector of the metochion, and clergymen of Belgrade.
After the divine service, archpriest Vitaly Tarasjev greeted His Holiness Patriarch Irenej and thanked him for coming to the metochion in advance of the remarkable date – the third anniversary of the enthronement of His Holi9ness Patriarch Kirill.
Rector of the metochion presented a hand-made altar wooden cross to the Primate of the Serbian Church in commemoration of his celebration at the Church of the Holy Trinity and wished him to continue his care for the believers of the Holy Church of Serbia.
His Holiness thanked archpriest Tarasjev and expressed his sincere wished to His Holiness Patriarch Kirill.
The service was followed by a reception.
