Meeting of the Inter-Council Presence’s commission on attitude to non-Orthodoxy and other religions

The Inter-Council Presence’s commission on attitude to non-Orthodoxy and other religions met on November 8, 2011, at the Department for External Church Relations, It was chaired by the DECR chairman, Metropolitan Hilarion of Volokolamsk.

The committee discussed the amended draft document ‘On Marriages with the non-Orthodox’. After some clarifications, the document was approved as a whole for submitting it to the Inter-Council Presence’s presidium.

It was agreed to continue working on the draft document ‘On Prayer for the Non-Orthodox Living and Dead’ and on the Russian Orthodox Church’s Concept of Interreligious Relations drafted by a working group on attitude to other religions.
