Representative of Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia to Patriarch of Alexandria visits Coptic Church Patriarchate

Archimandrite Leonid (Gorbachev), representative of the Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia to the Patriarch of Alexandria and All Africa visited on October 13 the Coptic Church’s Patriarchate in Cairo to meet with Bishop Jeremiah, secretary to the Coptic Patriarch Shenouda III.

Father Leonid informed Bishop Jeremiah of the stand taken by the Russian Orthodox Church with regard to the tragic events in Cairo and conveyed him the official statement of His Holiness Patriarch Kirill on the matter and a letter from Patriarch Kirill to Patriarch Shenouda.
