A Meeting with Russian Foreign Ministry officials takes place at Department for External Church Relations

On September 22, representatives of the Department for External Church Relations and the Russian Foreign Ministry met for a working session at the DECR. The DECR was represented by Hegumen Philaret (Bulekov), DECR vice-chairman, Archpriest Sergiy Zvonarev, secretary for the far-abroad countries, and Mr. M. Palacio. The Foreign Ministry group included Mr. O. Vasnetsov, director of the department for relations with the Federation constituent regions, the Parliament and public organizations (DSPO), Mr. A. Zheleznyakov, head of a DSPO office, and Mr. P. Romanov, a DSPO adviser.

The meeting considered various items on the DECR and Foreign Ministry common agenda and outlined a schedule for working meetings concerning matters of mutual concern.
