Bishop John of Caracas on his first archpastoral visitation to Venezuala

Bishop John of Caracas and South America, Russian Church Outside Russia, made his first archpastoral visitation to Venezuela from the end of June to the end of July, 2011.

His Grace John led divine services at St. Nicholas’s in Caracas and in the church of Our Lady of the Roots in Valencia. He also visited the Serbian Orthodox church in the Venezuelan capital.

In Caracas, His Grace John said the Office of the Dead for Archpriest John Baumanis through whose efforts several churches of the Russian Church Outside Russia were built in Venezuela, the Patriarchal Press Service has reported with reference to the website of the Diocese of South America.
