His Beatitude visits the Laura of the Holy Trinity and St. Sergius
On 11 May 2011, Metropolitan Christopher the Primate of the Orthodox Church of the Czech Lands and Slovakia, visited the Laura of the Holy Trinity and St. Sergius. He venerated the relics of St. Sergius and met with his confessor, archimandrite Naum (Baiborodin).
His Beatitude Metropolitan Christopher studied at the Moscow Theological academy in 1984-85 and was tonsured in the Laura of the Holy Trinity and St. Sergius in 1985.
The Primate of the Orthodox Church of made scholarly studies at the library of the Moscow Theological academy on 28 January-7 February 2011 and celebrated the Divine Liturgy at the Laura’s Cathedral of the Dormition on February 3, the commemoration day of St. Maxim the Greek.
